Life,
work
Yes that’s right, $5 footlongs are back.
I know everybody loves it, but sometimes being in charge stinks. Should I really have that much stress? Last night wasn’t horrible… but it wasn’t a breeze either. When I got there the back was a mess (as usual). Only this time I had like no bread… and the bread wasn’t thawed yet either. Thankfully, the only bread I ran out of during the entire evening was Jalapeño.
The best part about last night was the people I was working with.
… you have to love coworkers.
So. I was closing with a guy (the only boy that works at Subway… poor guy) and he happens to be a shift lead too. That being said, it is easy to work with him because he knows what needs to be done. My third person was a girl who constantly seems to have an attitude. I don’t think she likes it when I tell her what to do. Well, the funny thing is that she REALLY likes the guy.
No lie! She came to work with her make-up all done! She tries to act really sweet and flirt with him… while at the same time throwing attitude at customers and me! The thing is that he has a girlfriend and he really can’t stand the coworker. Poor girl… she doesn’t even realize, but she tries so hard. After she left, I told him that she acts completely differently when he was there, and he just rolled his eyes and complained about her attitude.

God,
Life,
work
Let me start by saying that work called me on Monday and wanted to know if I could come in and close… I said “No way, Jose! I need to to homework!” And I did actually do homework
Last night during my break I was texting Daniel and asking him what he was doing. He told me he was working on a devotional for his speech class based off of Psalm 68:19 and 72:18. He also informed the that he had read the verses the day before Bert’s caregiver unexpectantly died. I didn’t have my Bible with me so I told him I would look them up when I got home that evening.
I got home around 10:30ish and noticed that Hannah wasn’t home. I knew she was feeling sick and that she has a doctors appointment in the afternoon, but she should have been home by now. My conclusion what that she was in the hospital and I was a little mad that I wasn’t told that she went to the ER (but then again when your sick you don’t really think that logically). I got in contact with her and she told me that the she had been to the ER and they were sending her home with medicine… (and still no answers).
I went to my room and began to do my evening devotions and remembered that I was going to look up the verses that Daniel told me about.
- Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah
- Ps 72:18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
Wow! that was just what I needed! No matter what the circumstances of life my God only does wondrous things. I may question His working but when I stop and consider I know that He is doing wondrous things. I may wake up in the morning with a headache or I may have a really bad day cause of celiac but my God still loads me with benefits. No matter how my day begins or where it goes my God has supplied an overabundance of benefits to me and is constantly doing wondrous things. God is truly amazing and worthy to be praised!

Life,
work
You’ve guessed it. another blog about work.
I was so excited about this weekend because they scheduled me to have three days off in a row!!! Actually I was suppose to go in on Saturday morning for an hour for a meeting, but the owner decided that he didn’t want to pay for everyone to go to this meeting, so it was cancelled. So I opted to visit my family today… and Subway called me twice. The first time the GM called me about a question regarding party platters. I was so glad when that was all she wanted because I was so sure that she was going to ask me to work tonight. Well less than an hour later i get another phone call. And you’ve guessed it. they asked me to come into work… Sunday morning. Apparently the manager is in the hospital and can’t open tomorrow morning so I was asked to work from 6-8 am. Well, you know me… I can’t say no to work. So tomorrow morning at 6am I will be at Subway. At 8 I will be in my car headed back to the dorm and by 10 I will be at church. As for my last day off, Monday, I plan to do lots and lots of homework. :)
