crushed
Sometimes I wonder what my friends are thinking.¬† They make stupid choices and don’t realize the magnitude of thier decisions.¬† I realize that I am not perfect either and that God is continually working in my life to make me more like Him.¬† My heart aches when I contemplate the choices that some of my friends have made.¬† What could I have done to help prevent their choices?¬† Did I say enough? Did I say too much?¬† Ultimately their life is theirs and they must live with the consequences of their descisions.¬† I love my friends and I continually pray that they would seek God with all of their heart, soul, and mind.¬† I pray that they might grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.¬† Furthermore, I pray that I might be the a friend that seeks God coninually and that I might act in accoradance to His divine will.
I don’t know what’s happen but I’ll pray for the situation
Great post, I often think the same things. We do what we can, and then we just have to pray and leave it in God’s hands. He says that the king’s heart is in His hands and He turns it as He will. I have prayed for God to change my friends’ hearts at times, and it’s AMAZING when He does it!
I totally agree! I am praying for you! I love you!
Ruth, you took the words right out of my mouth…you are handling things with beautifully. Unfortunately, sometimes all we can do is watch and pray. I have a passage for you I was reading Ephesians 4:14-21 today and it talked about Prayer for Inner Growth, this was really helpful for me. If I am rooted and grounded in love, it will make it easier to pray for certain people and love them with the unconditional love of God (which mind you does not come easy). Vs. 20 is great because it is almost as if Paul had difficulty as well with this because he says that we just have to ask God and “he is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”–We may not be able to do this on our own, but God can help. Amazing!!! Ok, I am done preaching, sorry, I did not realize how much I went off, hope this is helpful. I love you. I will talk to you later.
Same thing happens in youth ministry, Ruth. Alot. It’s a bummer. Stay focused on the friends you have that ARE doing right. That’ll keep you from going crazy.
I hope Im not one of those ppl…
but all you can do is pray, remember Christ loves everyone including the ones who are not making the right choices, sometimes the person needs to make a mistake to learn a great lesson. We never know the reason things happen sometimes It’s the Lord working something great out and sometimes its ppl just plain making bad choices. All you can do is show them love, i know in my life it made a big difference despite any choice i made you were there loving me and caring and praying. it’s what makes you a great friend, don’t ever change!!! as you always say Jude 1:22. Love you!! let me know if you need anything!!
